about 3rd ave. wellness

  • 3rd Ave Wellness was born out of years of experience in workplaces, movement spaces, and community circles—spaces where we saw, time and time again, that the systems meant to support us often fell short.

We realized that true wellness, true sustainability, and true belonging cannot be built within the same frameworks that have historically excluded, exploited, or overlooked us.

The name 3rd Ave Wellness is more than just a name—it’s a memory, a foundation, a lesson in resilience. It comes from the home where our founder, Desi Hall, lived with her mother—a place filled with love but also the quiet understanding that traditional institutions didn’t always show up for those who needed them most.

When Desi’s mother sought support from their church for an electric bill, she was turned away. It happened enough times that she eventually stopped going. But instead of letting that rejection define her, she created something new. On Sundays, when she wasn’t at church with her grandmother, their home on 3rd Avenue became its own sanctuary.

Gospel music filled the rooms—Fred Hammond on full blast, they sang in harmony, feet moving to the beat of something freer, something realer. In that space, Desi learned something invaluable:

When the doors of traditional spaces close on you, you don’t stop seeking belonging—you build it yourself.

That home on 3rd Avenue became a sanctuary—a space of joy, resilience, and radical care. It was there that Desi learned that wellness isn’t something you wait for—it’s something you build.

That lesson became the foundation of 3rd Ave Wellness—not just as an individual practice, but as our collective commitment to reimagining care, sustainability, and belonging.

At 3rd Ave Wellness, we don’t wait to be included.

We don’t ask for permission to heal.
We don’t settle for the frameworks that weren’t built with us in mind.

Instead, we build new tables. We create new pathways. We craft belonging.

Because wellness isn’t just something you find.
It’s something you build. If you’re ready to build a space of belonging, wellness, and sustainability in your life or organization, let’s work together.

  • At 3rd Ave Wellness, we believe that wellness is not a luxury—it’s foundational to sustainable leadership, creativity, and change-making.

We are here because we saw too many leaders, visionaries, and creatives sacrificing their well-being in pursuit of success. Traditional wellness models weren’t built for those carrying the weight of community, organizations, and high-impact work.

    We built something different.

Our work is grounded in both deep research and lived experience—combining data-driven strategy with holistic, care-centered leadership practices. We believe that effective change is measurable, actionable, and sustainable.

    Our Core Principles:

🚀 Care is a Practice, Not a Perk

Wellness in leadership requires intentional integration of care, not just reactionary self-care.

🌱 Strategy & Soul Go Hand in Hand

We balance high-level strategy, organizational research, and leadership consulting with intuitive and holistic approaches.

🤝🏾 Belonging is Built, Not Given

Our work isn’t about surface-level diversity—it’s about structural change that creates true belonging.

📊 Impact Should Be Measurable & Sustainable

We use rigorous research, data analysis, and strategic insights to create lasting solutions.

At 3rd Ave Wellness, we help visionary leaders, creatives, and decision-makers align strategy with sustainability, ensuring that their work doesn’t come at the cost of their health, identity, or long-term success.
